Community and transport support covers assistance getting to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, social outings, errands and community activities around Ipswich. A support worker collects the participant at the agreed time, travels with them to the appointment, activity or errand, and provides support while there if needed — this could be attending a medical appointment, doing groceries, or getting to a social or community event. The return trip is planned in the same booking, so the whole outing is covered from door to door.
Transport and community access support is generally funded under Core Supports in an NDIS plan, covering both community participation and, in some cases, a specific transport allowance.
