Calm, consistent support that helps people with complex needs feel safer and better understood.
Behaviour support is about helping a person feel safer, more understood and more in control of their day, especially where behaviours of concern make daily life harder for the participant or the people around them. Our support workers apply calm, consistent, positive strategies day to day — clear routines, predictable communication, and a steady approach that reduces stress rather than adding to it.
Where a participant already has a registered NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner and a formal behaviour support plan in place, our team works alongside that plan, delivering the day-to-day strategies consistently across every shift. Where a participant doesn't yet have a behaviour support plan, we can talk through what kind of support might help and how that fits into their broader NDIS supports.
This service suits participants whose behaviours of concern are affecting their safety, wellbeing or ability to take part in daily life, and families or carers who need support workers who can apply an existing behaviour support plan consistently. It also suits participants who benefit from predictable routines, clear communication and a genuinely patient approach to support.
A support worker follows the agreed routine and any behaviour support strategies already in place, staying alert to what helps the participant feel calm and supported. Communication is kept clear and consistent between shifts, so strategies aren't applied differently by different workers, and any changes in behaviour are noted and shared with family, support coordinators or the treating behaviour support practitioner where relevant.
Day-to-day behaviour support delivered by our team is generally funded under Core Supports, while the development of a formal behaviour support plan by a registered practitioner is typically funded separately under Capacity Building or Improved Relationships supports. We can help you understand how the day-to-day side of this fits your current plan, for both plan-managed and self-managed participants.
Formal behaviour support plans are developed by a registered NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner. Our support workers deliver the day-to-day strategies from an existing plan consistently, and we can help you think through next steps if a formal plan isn't yet in place.
We can still provide calm, consistent support day to day, and talk through whether a referral to a registered behaviour support practitioner would be useful for your situation.
Yes — keeping strategies consistent across shifts is central to how we deliver behaviour support, and we communicate clearly between workers so nothing gets lost.
